Swedish muster between 1969 - 1995
Swedish males who conscripted between 1969 and 1995 are included in the Muster Database, with an excempt of only 2-3% per year in the population. Sweden realized the opportunities for research and quality development such information poses, and is the only country that has built up a database that goes back to 1969. This unique database is built around objective tests of exercise capacity, muscle strength and cognitive ability.
The research is now moving forward with focus on the role of physical capacity in young adulthood for developing cardiovascular disease later in life.
